Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

Purpose of the role: Ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, conduct preventative maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE), provide high levels of equipment availability, and drive continuous improvement.

Shift Pattern: Non‑traditional, may include nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Model health & safety best practices and ensure compliance by others.
• Work hands‑on and demonstrate subject‑matter‑expert level knowledge on all MHE in the building.
• Coach and mentor technicians on shift.
• Support the line manager and supervise the shift in their absence.
• Provide high levels of equipment availability through troubleshooting and prioritization.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance systems across the EU network.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships across all organisational levels.
• Understand and apply OEE and equipment performance metrics.
• Manage contractors.

Basic Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical & electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, PLC programming, NEC, and work‑order management.
• Experience using a CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or a related technical field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience with robotic maintenance.
• Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead.
• Experience working with MHE safety standards per OEM requirements.
