We are currently supporting a cutting-edge photonics semiconductor company in the search for a Senior Technician / Equipment Engineer to join their growing team. This is a highly hands-on position within a small-scale, advanced manufacturing environment, focused on equipment operation, maintenance, and reliability. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily fab activities while also interfacing with suppliers and contributing to technical projects. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain semiconductor manufacturing equipment and supporting facility systems. Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve equipment issues. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Support equipment installation, qualification, relocation, and upgrades. Collaborate closely with process engineers to ensure equipment performance and process stability. Interface with external vendors and service providers during maintenance and repair activities. Support the management of suppliers, service contracts, and external maintenance services. Contribute to technical projects related to equipment improvements and installations. Manage spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability of critical components. Maintain technical documentation, maintenance records, and procedures. Ensure compliance with EHS standards, safety regulations, and cleanroom protocols. Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives. Requirements Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Proven hands-on experience in semiconductor fabs, pilot lines, or cleanroom environments. Strong troubleshooting and maintenance experience on complex equipment. Basic knowledge of semiconductor processes (CMOS knowledge is a plus). Experience working with external suppliers and service engineers. Familiarity with maintenance procedures, spare parts management, and documentation. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on mindset. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Intermediate level of English (written and spoken). Position Overview No direct team management responsibility. Involvement in supplier coordination and service activities at an operational level.
