About the Role
This role is responsible for leading all environmental, health, and safety and engineering operations within the site. The position ensures the site meets global and local environmental, health, and safety requirements; engineering projects are executed effectively; utilities and facilities are maintained to ensure safety, compliance, and productivity; OT/IT infrastructure and cybersecurity are compliant; and the facilities and utilities systems support desired production functions.
The individual must understand manufacturing, packing, and warehouse technology; industry standards for Project Management and Capital Systems management; and EHS local and corporate standards. They must translate business strategies into Engineering and EHS objectives, and convert innovation and growth requirements into safe and quality‑compliant equipment solutions that meet business timing and cost.
Key challenges include EHS incident investigation and resolution, defining engineering solutions to business challenges at target cost and schedule, OT cybersecurity threats, natural disaster emergency response and BCP execution, and addressing equipment productivity losses that cause production disruptions, requiring preventative maintenance or re‑engineering. Innovation is required to develop new equipment options for capacity growth, new production introductions, and to resolve chronic production outages.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Lead the EHS and Engineering team of 20‑50 people to deliver on Site Objectives: vision setting, objective setting, execution coaching, progress evaluation, staffing, team engagement, and career coaching.
Site Safety Management
Ensure governance, systems, and processes meet global and local environmental, health, and safety standards; staff the EHS team with the necessary expertise; and coach the site EHS leader on safety culture programs to ensure safety ownership across the site.
Engineering and Capital Project Management Leadership
Lead the site capital systems and project team to deliver projects with excellence: cost, schedule, safety/quality, OEE, and other business criteria. Ensure financial compliance of projects and support investment definition that enables site objectives: savings, growth, and compliance.
Automation/OT/IT Management
Execute maintenance and cybersecurity of the OT infrastructure and install automation technology necessary to deliver site productivity and growth objectives at the lowest OPEX.
Utilities/Facilities/Maintenance Management
Lead the team responsible for the maintenance of utilities and facilities and sponsor the PM Pillar.
Collaboration with SLT, Regional, and Global Resources
Deliver QSC Excellence and continuously improve manufacturing to meet site business needs.
Stakeholder Communication
Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to the Site Leader, prepare and present reports, facilitate sub‑team meetings, and ensure transparency and alignment across the organization.
Risk Management
Identify and manage risks associated with EHS and Engineering, conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical.
10 years of experience in Engineering, R&D, or Safety Leadership.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (e.g., NFPA 70, OSHA).
Strong leadership skills.

EUR 108,745.00 - EUR 149,524.10 The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Further details regarding the total reward and benefits package will be shared during the recruitment process. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations. Compensation information is shared for the primary location of this role.
