What you’ll do The SNAI Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll for a defined cluster of legal entities within the Flutter SEA region. The role focuses on managing payroll operations, ensuring strong governance and compliance, and supporting payroll transformation initiatives, including payroll provider transitions and process optimization. Key Responsibilities Payroll Operations & Delivery

Ensure accurate and timely end‑to‑end payroll processing for the assigned entities, in collaboration with external payroll providers. Oversee monthly payroll cycles, including data validation, gross‑to‑net calculations, and reconciliation. Manage payroll inputs, controls, and approvals, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Monitor payroll KPIs and service levels, ensuring high‑quality delivery. Support statutory reporting, tax filings, and year‑end payroll activities.

Payroll Provider Management & Transition

Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring service quality and SLA compliance. Act as key point of contact for issue resolution and continuous service improvement. Support or lead payroll provider transition activities (vendor change, onboarding, and stabilization). Coordinate payroll migration tasks, including data validation, parallel runs, and go‑live support. Ensure business continuity and payroll accuracy during transition phases.

Process Optimization & Controls

Review and improve payroll and pre‑payroll processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions. Ensure proper documentation of payroll procedures and controls. Strengthen internal controls to support audit readiness and compliance.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable legislation, tax regulations, and company policies. Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings. Mitigate risks through strong governance and control frameworks.

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. 5–7+ years of experience in payroll operations, processes, controls, and compliance requirements. Proven experience managing external payroll providers and experience in payroll provider transitions or migrations. Experience with HRIS/payroll systems/time management systems (Workday/Zucchetti knowledge is a plus). Solid understanding of payroll reconciliation and reporting. Basic project management skills applied to payroll initiatives. Strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach. Reliability and accountability. Experience in managing payroll within structured or international organizations with fast‑paced or evolving structures is a plus. Experience in payroll transformation or process improvement projects. Exposure to shared service environments.

Base pay hiring range for this role in Italy – Milan, Rome: €57,000– €69,000 gross per year, under the CCNL Commercio collective agreement, level Quadro. This is our standard pay guide for the role and location; any offer made will reflect your experience, skills and interview assessment, and will ordinarily fall within this range.
