Tech Ops Principal Scientist
Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Technical Operations Principal Scientist who will report to the Process Science Leader and be based in Pomezia Santa Palomba.

What you will do
The Technical Operations Principal Scientist will lead the technical execution and manufacturing support of regional projects linked to Women’s health brands strategy. Responsibilities include process optimization, industrialization, business continuity, compliance and cost improvement programs, ensuring robust validation in production.
The role requires a mature technical expert who brings operational excellence and problem‑solving capability to the team. Key qualifications include:
Capability to make decisions that directly impact business results.
Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and pragmatically to management and site stakeholders.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and technologies in Women’s health products.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Build and support the end‑to‑end technical operations pipeline, ensuring delivery against business objectives, cost targets and sustainability commitments.
Lead cross‑functional technical projects linked to Women’s health strategy (process changes, industrialization, business continuity, compliance, cost improvement).
Define and own end‑to‑end technical deliverables, collaborating with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing.
Lead process industrialization and validation activities, ensuring robust and stable manufacturing performance.
Support technology transfer and process replication across sites.
Lead technical qualification of alternative suppliers and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications, no impact on product performance and successful implementation.
Define and execute comparability studies, validation plans and change control activities (e.g., risk assessments, FMEA).
Act as process owner, supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis, continuous process verification, CAPA definition and implementation.
Follow standards and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and safety requirements.
Maintain awareness of new technologies and process innovations applicable to Women’s health products.
Provide progress updates to cross‑functional teams.
Technical leadership and people development may be required.
What we are looking for
Required Minimum Education
Master’s Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or Pharmacy.
Required Years of Related Experience
Minimum 6 years’ experience in hygiene products / SanPro and materials’ technologies.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Deep knowledge of nonwoven materials and their manufacturing technology.
Strong knowledge of quality and regulations for this product category.
Strong knowledge of test methods and testing plans for the product category.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for liners and napkins.
Experience in process validation, industrialization and troubleshooting.
Experience in material qualification and change management.
Knowledge of statistical analysis (Minitab preferred).
Ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
Experience in technical project management.
Fluent written and oral English.
