Description
Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Trade Marketing & Sales Support Manager for Theatrical Distribution in Italy who will be responsible for developing and executing co-operative trade marketing campaigns with cinema circuits while providing essential sales support to maximize commercial performance across the theatrical slate. This dual-function role combines strategic marketing partnerships with operational sales execution, working closely with exhibitors to optimize both promotional impact and booking performance. The position translates release strategies into circuit-specific marketing activations while supporting session planning, bookings management, and box office analysis. This position reports to the Heads of Italy Theatrical Marketing & Distribution.
The applicable collective agreement for this role is CBA for employees of Telecommunication Sector. The position is classified at level 7 or above, depending on the candidate's skills, competences and experience.
Key job responsibilitiesTrade Marketing & Exhibitor Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with cinema circuit marketing teams to create effective and innovative marketing campaigns that connect target audiences for all theatrical releases
- Negotiate co-op marketing agreements with circuits, including budget arrangements, sequential activation, flighting, promotional commitments and marketing deliverables
- Coordinate joint and integrated promotional activities including in‑cinema displays, website and lobby takeovers, premium format promotions, and digital signage campaigns, point of sale & concession campaigns
- Coordinate the production and delivery of circuit‑specific marketing assets including standees, posters, digital content and co‑branded materials
- Track and report on co‑op marketing campaign effectiveness and return on investment by circuit
- Provide market intelligence from circuit partners to inform marketing campaign development and sales negotiations
- Support competitive intelligence across the Italy and key international markets, including promotional strategies and release positioning
- Analyze correlation between marketing spend by circuit and box office and market share performance to optimize future campaigns
- Coordinate with the Int’l Marketing team on extensions of global exhibitor initiatives and PLF partner materials
- Manage trade marketing budgets and reconcile co‑op marketing expenditures with cinema circuits including processing invoices and tracking payments for circuit marketing partnerships in coordination with Finance team
Sales Support & Account Management
- Assist in executing sales strategies across theatrical releases that align with commercial objectives
- Support and monitor independent exhibitor bookings, holdovers, ensuring accurate records of sales terms and payments in coordination with Finance team
- Establish and cultivate strong working relationships with exhibitors, serving as a key point of contact for both marketing and sales matters
Operations & Materials Management
- Partner with Sales & Operations to coordinate end‑to‑end delivery of materials, trailers, posters and promotional materials to exhibitors across Italy, coordinating with tech suppliers and Content Delivery Service providers
- Manage the planning, production, classification and delivery of trailers and promotional assets across the Italy
- Assist with premiere events, special screenings and experiential marketing activations in partnership with cinema circuits across the Italy
- Create and implement strategic framework and execution of internal and external screening programs in collaboration with marketing, publicity, and social
- Support the development and implementation of exhibitor conventions, trade shows and industry events including co‑ordination and production of materials, on‑site activations and presentation keynotes
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft office tools like Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote, or experience with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership, or experience with external customer interaction
- Proven experience in theatrical trade marketing, cinema marketing, theatrical distribution, or sales in the entertainment industry
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cinema circuit marketing teams and exhibitors
- Proven experience negotiating co‑operative marketing agreements and managing partnership budgets
- Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and bookings simultaneously
- Confidence working with spreadsheets, databases, sales tools and business intelligence platforms
- Understanding of theatrical exhibition landscape, cinema marketing capabilities, and sales dynamics
- Budget management experience with ability to track ROI and campaign effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of the Italy exhibition landscape, exhibitor marketing capabilities, and theatrical exhibition market dynamics
- Experience with film marketing campaigns and understanding of theatrical release strategies
- Established relationships with cinema circuit marketing teams and exhibitors across the Italy
- Experience coordinating premiere events and talent appearances in partnership with marketing, social & PR
- Familiarity with box office analytics and ability to correlate marketing spend with performance outcomes
- Understanding of theatrical windows and release planning considerations
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Comscore, Numero)
- Experience coordinating and representing a studio at industry events and conventions
- Problem‑solving mindset with ability to adapt to changing release schedules and market conditions

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full‑time basis. For part‑time hours, the salary will be pro‑rated. Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.Com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements. In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
