Senior Clinical Research Associate / CRA II – Italy


RBW Consulting is partnering with a leading global CRO to recruit experienced Senior Clinical Research Associates and CRA IIs to join their growing team across Italy. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a top-tier organisation where you will have a key role in the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.


As an experienced CRA, you will be responsible for the oversight of clinical study activities, ensuring trials are delivered in line with study protocols, regulatory expectations, and industry best practice. Your work will directly support patient safety, data quality, and overall study success from site initiation through to close-out.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site and remote monitoring visits to ensure trial conduct complies with protocol, regulatory guidelines, and GCP.
  • Assess site performance, identify risks or issues, and implement corrective actions to keep studies on track.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support accurate, timely data capture and reporting.
  • Deliver training and ongoing support to site staff and fellow CRAs to uphold high standards of trial execution.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with investigators, site teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless study delivery.


Candidate Profile

  • Advanced academic background in a relevant discipline (e.g. life sciences, nursing, or medicine).
  • Fully qualified to independently conduct monitoring visits.
  • Significant experience working as a Clinical Research Associate with a solid knowledge of clinical trial operations and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of monitoring methodologies, data quality, and site management, with confidence using clinical trial systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and maintain compliance.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy (by car, train, or air) for on-site visits, alongside remote monitoring activity.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, with a valid driving licence.
