Engineering Specialist

Role Title: Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Specialist – Engineering Specialist Function and Department : Strategic Supply and Global Engineering

As part of the Global Engineering organization and based at our Vado Ligure plant, you will be responsible for the engineering, planning and execution of E&I projects. You will collaborate with local site functions, global engineering experts and external contractors while ensuring compliance with Infineum standards, engineering procedures and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve

• Lead, plan and execute E&I engineering projects at the Vado Ligure site.
• Develop, update and apply technical standards in instrumentation and electrical engineering.
• Support plant reliability and availability through advanced E&I concepts and design, aligned with Corporate and Vado Ligure site Sustainability strategy.
• Participate in safety studies such as HAZOP.
• Coordinate external engineering contractors and suppliers.
• Work closely with other project managers, as well as Maintenance, Operations, HSSE and cross-functional teams locally and globally.
• Ensure full compliance with engineering standards, industry regulations and Infineum procedures/processes.
• Deliver projects based on customer’s needs and project goals, with no compromise on HSSE.
• Leverage Project Management skills and understanding of Infineum business practices to lead contractors as required.
• Lead Integrated Project Team (IPT).
• Develop stewardship reports.
• Support the tracking of year-to-date capital and expense budgets to local and global interfaces.
• Participate in global networks aimed at improving the development process and sharing process design experience.
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of a leading chemical industry with outstanding HSSE standards and financial results.
• Develop a strategic mindset in shaping the electrical footprint of a chemical manufacturing site for the incoming decades.
• Get a deep knowledge of best of industry design standards, project management practices, capital investment process across the entire project life.
• Work in a truly open and multicultural environment, building relationship and networking skills with different organization levels at the plant as well globally.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Engineering Degree (electrical, automation).
• 5-10 years experience in electrical specific jobs with experience in both design and operations of industrial electrical systems; PMP Certification and/or MBA are considered as a plus; an experience in a chemical manufacturing site is considered as a plus.
• Excellent Italian and English - verbal and written. Italian language knowledge is a key requisite to work effectively with all Vado Ligure based colleagues and contractors.
• Attention to detail, strong commitment to HSSE and quality values; motivation to acquire knowledge of design practices and process safety standards.
• Self-driven and enthusiastic about Project Execution and overall continuous improvement of execution processes.
• Self-directed and proactive worker; strong team player in collaborative and leading situations.
• Ability to interact with organizational levels both horizontally and vertically.
• Clear and concise written as well as verbal communication skills.
