Job Overview
The Security Manager is responsible for implementing security policies, corporate loss‑prevention measures, and management protocols, with a primary focus on internal security and asset protection within environments such as retail, logistics, supply chain, or e‑commerce. This position reports directly to the Market Head of Operations and functionally to the Group Quality & Security Director.
Responsibilities and Duties- Identifies and mitigates risks such as internal/external theft, fraud, waste, and product damage through audits, data analysis, and KPIs (e.g., shrink rate, inventory accuracy).
- Develops and implements security policies and procedures in line with applicable national and international standards and regulations. Oversees video surveillance systems, alarms, access controls, and anti‑intrusion protocols; trains staff on security procedures.
- Conducts risk assessments and security audits across different sites. Develops prevention and response plans.
- Coordinates daily security actions with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishes service level agreements and performance metrics for all warehouses and teams.
- Leads, manages, and trains internal security teams.
- Oversees the relationship with external service providers (remote surveillance companies, equipment installers, security guard agencies, etc.).
- Implements customized crisis‑management procedures for incidents, ensuring rapid and effective response in cases of theft, fraud, and other events.
- Analyzes incidents and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensures that sites are adequately protected in accordance with Group standards, equipping facilities with access‑control systems and CCTV surveillance equipment. Ensures proper maintenance and optimization of these systems to maximize effectiveness.
- Leads the development and implementation of a loss‑prevention plan covering missing, unidentified, stolen, or damaged parcels and lots.
- Contributes to the company’s anti‑fraud and anti‑counterfeiting plan impacting the business and its clients.
- Raises awareness among internal teams on security matters through regular training and communication.
- Conducts technological and regulatory monitoring to anticipate security developments in the logistics sector, proposing and leading initiatives to implement innovative solutions aimed at improving efficiency and operational control.
- Provides responses to law enforcement requests and ensures effective cooperation with local and national authorities (police, intelligence services, customs).
- Participates in regular meetings and knowledge‑sharing sessions with security teams from other markets to provide support and share best practices in security.
- University degree or engineering degree, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial or logistics environment.
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and high responsiveness to sensitive situations that may arise at any time.
- Security expertise, stakeholder‑management capabilities, and continuous optimization of operational control.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
