Ready to shape how demand planning works globally?
Do you enjoy designing end-to-end processes rather than running daily operations? Are you motivated by creating clarity, consistency, and scalable ways of working across regions? Do you want to shape how data, systems, and people come together to enable feasible plans, reliable service, and optimized inventory?
Then you could be our next...
Global Supply & Inventory Lead
SKF Lubrication Lifetime Solutions BU is enhancing its Demand Chain Center of Excellence (CoE), and we are now looking for a Global Supply & Inventory Lead. In this role you will be the global process owner for Supply Planning, Production Scheduling, and Inventory Lifecycle Management, building and governing standardized, scalable processes, systems, and KPIs across regions and plants.
This is a global role with significant strategic and business impact. Your focus will be on process architecture, governance, capability building, KPI management, and system enablement – ensuring tight integration with Demand Planning and IBP to deliver end-to-end planning excellence from demand signal to factory schedule and network inventory.
You will own the global process design, governance, and continuous improvement for core supply planning activities (MPS/MRP/RCCP/DRP/material planning), including standards, KPIs, master data integrity, and global deployment.
What you can expect in the role
As Global Supply & Inventory Lead, you will:
Define and govern the global operating model for Supply Planning (MPS/MRP/RCCP/DRP/material planning), Production Scheduling (finite scheduling/sequencing), and Inventory Lifecycle (NPI – Active – EOL).
Own the supply planning BPM scope: global standards, documentation, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Set policies, RACI, and KPI frameworks (service, plan adherence, capacity utilization, inventory turns, SLOB, schedule adherence) and drive performance reviews.
Run maturity assessments and build a multi‑year roadmap for harmonization and measurable performance uplift across regions/plants.
Manage scenario planning and trade‑off decisions (service–inventory–cost, capacity/material risk), providing clear impact analysis for leadership forums.
Co‑lead APS/ERP enablement with IT (e.g., SAP IBP/PPDS/S4, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Oracle): blueprint, functional requirements, deployment and value realization.
Own master data governance for planning parameters/hierarchies and ensure disciplined data “housekeeping” to protect plan quality.
Build global capability and adoption: run the planning process‑owner/BPM network, create playbooks/training, sponsor lighthouse pilots, and embed standards through change management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA a plus.
Ample and in-depth experience across supply planning, scheduling, inventory management and/or manufacturing in multi‑site/global contexts.
Deep understanding of MPS, MRP, RCCP, DRP and inventory management principles.
Demonstrated ability in global process design, deployment, and continuous improvement, including governance and measurable adoption.
Experience leading or co‑leading APS/ERP transformations and planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, OMP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis or similar).
Proficient capability building and leadership skills: playbooks, training, communities of practice, and change management in global environments.
Skilled at building consensus and collaborating across Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial stakeholders.
Clear communication skills; able to translate technical planning concepts into business language; proficient in English.
Certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP and/or Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) are meritorious.
SKF is committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success. Therefore, we only focus on your experience, skills, and potential. Come as you are – just be yourself.
Location and Working Arrangement
This position will be located in Chodov & Praque (Czech Republic), Gothenburg (Sweden), Saint Louis (US), Berlin (Germany), Airasca & Milano (Italy), Houten (Netherlands), or Rosario (Argentina, on local contract). You will report to the Lubrication E2E Demand Chain CoE Lead, who is located in Schweinfurt, Germany.
