Descrizione:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Mid‑Level PCB Layout Designer to support the development of automotive electronic control units and contribute to high‑quality, production‑ready PCB designs.

The role focuses on hands‑on PCB layout activities, close collaboration with electrical and mechanical engineers, and continuous technical growth within a structured hardware development environment.

The main job responsibilities:

  • Support the design of printed circuit board assemblies under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Perform PCB layout activities for digital, analog, and mixed‑signal designs, including microcontrollers and standard high‑speed interfaces
  • Apply constraints‑driven PCB layout methodologies following established design rules
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to clarify schematic intent and layout constraints
  • Work with mechanical engineers to address basic electro‑mechanical packaging requirements
  • Participate in PCB layout reviews and implement review feedback
  • Prepare and release layout deliverables (PCB files, manufacturing outputs, basic documentation) according to defined processes
  • Support prototype builds and address layout‑related manufacturing or assembly issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent technical education
  • 3–5 years of experience in PCB layout design
  • Experience with multilayer PCB layout and standard industrial or automotive requirements
  • Basic experience with high‑speed digital routing (e.g., DDR, USB, Ethernet, PCIe at entry level)
  • Familiarity with constraints‑driven PCB layout concepts
  • Understanding of PCB layer stack‑ups and manufacturing considerations
  • Knowledge of IPC guidelines for PCB library elements (symbols and footprints)
  • Experience with Gerber generation and manufacturing release flows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive or industrial electronics environments
  • Exposure to fine‑pitch components (BGA, QFN, QFP)
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and design constraints
  • Experience with at least one PCB CAD tool (Altium, Cadence, Mentor, Zuken)
  • Willingness to grow technical skills in high‑speed and high‑density PCB design

Key Competencies & Personal Attributes

  • Solid attention to detail and design quality
  • Ability to follow defined processes and technical guidelines
  • Good communication skills within a cross‑functional engineering team
  • Proactive learning attitude and openness to technical feedback
  • Team‑oriented mindset with growing autonomy
  • Professional approach toward suppliers and manufacturing partners
