Process Safety Engineer / HAZOP Facilitator

Chair HAZOP studies and revalidations on refinery units within a Digital Twin programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will facilitate HAZOP studies (and revalidations) on the prioritized nodes and P&IDs, recording and closing out recommendations. The role may also sit within a separate HSE work package.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Define the study scope and methodology (guideword-based HAZOP per IEC 61882)

• Run HAZOP revalidations on existing units and full studies on new units

• Facilitate multidisciplinary sessions as chairman (with scribe), recording deviations, causes, consequences and safeguards

• Manage action tracking and close-out reporting, with optional LOPA screening

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process or equivalent)

• Qualified and experienced HAZOP chairman

• Process-safety experience in refinery / chemical plants

• Standards: IEC 61882 (HAZOP)

• Tools: HAZOP facilitation tools (e.g. PHA-Pro or equivalents)

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with LOPA and SIL studies

• Availability of a dedicated scribe to support the sessions

LOCATION

Office or at Client's premises in Italy.
