Process Safety Engineer / Hazop Facilitator

Chair HAZOP studies and revalidations on refinery units within a Digital Twin programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE You will facilitate HAZOP studies (and revalidations) on the prioritized nodes and P&IDs, recording and closing out recommendations. The role may also sit within a separate HSE work package.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

-

Define the study scope and methodology (guideword-based HAZOP per IEC 61882)

Run HAZOP revalidations on existing units and full studies on new units

-

Facilitate multidisciplinary sessions as chairman (with scribe), recording deviations, causes, consequences and safeguards

Manage action tracking and close-out reporting, with optional LOPA screening

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

-

Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process or equivalent)

-

Qualified and experienced HAZOP chairman

-

Process-safety experience in refinery / chemical plants

-

Standards: IEC 61882 (HAZOP)

-

Tools: HAZOP facilitation tools (e.G. PHA-Pro or equivalents)

NICE TO HAVE

-

Experience with LOPA and SIL studies

-

Availability of a dedicated scribe to support the sessions

LOCATION Office or at Client's premises in Italy.
