Experteer Overview
As Local Purchasing Lead in Torino, you will manage direct‑material purchasing for the plant, aligning local activities with the EMEA SCM strategy. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and the category and quality functions to ensure cost‑efficient, compliant procurement. You’ll drive projects like new product launches and engineering changes, manage budgeting and KPI reporting, and support audits and data accuracy in ERP systems. This role offers impact on plant performance and regional procurement initiatives within a global automotive leader.

- Act as the local purchasing representative for direct materials to internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Participate in local project teams for new product launches, business transfers, and engineering changes
- Drive cost reduction and process improvements aligned with local and EMEA objectives
- Monitor material performance KPIs and prepare management reports
- Lead annual material budgeting process
- Represent purchasing in audits (internal and external)
- Maintain accuracy of ERP purchasing data
- Support plant operations in resolving supplier delivery issues
- Follow up on blocked invoices with stakeholders
- Support indirect purchasing activities with regional team when needed
- Ensure compliance with all Aptiv policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Act as the local Country Fleet Manager for car‑related topics and coordinate fleet needs with EMEA indirect purchasing
Responsabilità
- Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field
- 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, ideally in automotive
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities
- Proven project management skills; engineering background is a plus
- Proficiency in QAD / MFGPro, SAP, and Microsoft Office
- Structured, proactive, and independent working style
- High level of commitment and assertiveness
