Quality Project Team Member - Maternity Leave

Job Description

As a Quality Project Team Member (Maternity Leave) in Valeo Pianezza you will work with the most powerful carmaker companies in an international and multicultural environment. Your primary mission is to manage the quality in the project, set and monitor the quality roadmap to achieve both customer and Valeo quality and cost targets.

Responsibilities

- Define the quality cost of the project and track milestones to meet customer expectations.
- Detect risks and prevent problems during project development phases;
react when a risk is identified and escalate roadblocks to Product Group management.
- Ensure CPM and build-in quality standards are respected. Use SPPC tracking sheets, adhere to SPPC identification procedures, and transfer SPPC to suppliers via VRFs.
- Challenge other Project Team Members on their activities and focus on Design & Change: ensure novelty is accounted for in DFMEA, PFMEA, DV&PV.
- Verify that Lesson Learn Cards (LLCs) have been used in D/P FMEA to reduce RPN and are respected.
- After design freeze, manage product or process change according to customer and Valeo rules;
update quality documents accordingly.
- Participate in Design Reviews, including suppliers and tool makers;
perform revision of thecontrol plan after issues or test results.
- Support supplier management activities for internal and external supplier parts on Valeo sites, providing alternatives and best practices.
- Obtain validation of Initial Samples (IS) from the customer on time;
define prototype, pre‑serial and serial control plans as owner of milestones.
- Maintain consistency between SPPC, FMEA and control plan.
- Participate in pre‑FDPR and FDPR (Full Day Production Run) activities.
- Prepare IS internal & customer deliverables, ensuring the internal Initial Sample file is validated by the Site Quality Manager before customer sign‑off.
- Apply QRQC rules in project meetings (QRQC) and ensure the project team uses QRQC material/rules.
- Consolidate all issues into a single list and manage them in project meetings.
- Initiate a Valeo Incident in case of DV or PV test failures.

Qualifications

- Engineering degree.
- Preferable short experience in similar roles within the automotive field.
- Fluent in English.
