R&D Product development Engineer II (M/F/D)

Salary: €38,900.00 gross per annum, depending on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

The R&D Product development Engineer II is responsible for ensuring proper workflow and on‑time delivery of tools and spare parts while coordinating activities among suppliers, customers, and internal functions.

  • Manage projects related to the assigned product families, including:
    • Tracking customer orders and delivery schedules
    • Monitoring project progress and supervising suppliers
    • Managing spare parts requests and ensuring timely delivery
  • Support and coordinate global suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements
  • Act as a technical interface between customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Ensure accurate documentation and proper use of PLM systems

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in engineering roles
  • Solid knowledge of PLM platforms
  • Knowledge of mechanical drawings
  • Understanding of electric and pneumatic diagrams
  • Solid PLC programming knowledge and high‑level object‑oriented languages (C, C#, Java)
  • Data management and analysis (SQL, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of OT (Operational technology) applications including MES
  • Experience with connector or terminal tooling is considered a strong plus
  • Experience in industrial automation is considered a strong plus
  • Excellent proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, analytical, and written)
  • Proven organizational and project management skills, with experience collaborating across teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Ability to work independently on multiple parallel projects, delivering analyses and reports within deadlines
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Analytical mindset and strong self‑organization
