Descrizione:
IIGM
is located at the FPO IRCCS Candiolo Cancer Institute, Candiolo Turin - Italy). The main goal of
FPO IRCCS Candiolo
( and
IIGM
(Home - Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine) is to foster and develop excellence in research and education, with special reference to cancer biology and cancer biomarker discovery. The institute provides high-level scientific education for students and post-doctoral fellows, and access to state-of-the‑art research facilities and international networks.
Gender Equality Plan
: diversity is our legacy and our future. Be part of it. At
IIGM
diversity is an integral part of our culture and identity and for this we have adopted a plan for gender equality (GEP). We promote diversity and inclusion because we recognize that they are a source of strength and competitive advantage.
Position
The Chemical Biology Laboratory at the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine (IIGM) is seeking highly motivated candidates at all levels of seniority (pre‑doc, postdoc) to work in high‑content imaging and analysis with a focus on cell‑to‑cell heterogeneity and phenotypic variability in membrane trafficking. The laboratory investigates key aspects of Rab GTPases and their involvement in hereditary genetic diseases. The project aims to generate cellular models of steroid‑resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS) disease and perform genotype‑phenotype correlation analysis using molecular and computational tools developed in the lab. By integrating phenotypic mapping with biochemical and genetic information, we seek to elucidate the biological functions of rare genetic variants causing steroid‑resistant nephrotic syndrome. The Institute provides state‑of‑the‑art genomics, single‑cell genomics sequencing platforms and high‑content imaging platforms.
