About the Role

Operations is at the heart of Amazon’s business. We are known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service. Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) partners work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen. The RME Planner develops maintenance plans and schedules using recurring preventive maintenance activities, predictive maintenance data, and KPIs. Responsibilities include screening APM work orders, auditing equipment, estimating labor hours, materials, tools, and equipment, and supporting a proactive, reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen work orders and analyze scope requirements to schedule maintenance activities based on available resources, work criticality, and maintenance windows.
  • Perform equipment audits to document job requirements, order spare parts for facility and material handling equipment, and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
  • Plan reliability improvement projects and collect engineering drawings and technical specifications to maximize system efficiency and performance.
  • Drive proactive maintenance programs that achieve 85% planned work targets while ensuring all activities derive from APM and close accurately in Amazon’s maintenance virtuous cycle.
  • Be able to move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office product and application experience.
  • 1+ years of using a computer maintenance management system in planning, scheduling and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler experience within an industrial maintenance complex, manufacturing/distribution industries, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance.
  • 4+ years of working with enterprise asset management software suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
