We are looking for a motivated and talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our Automotive Basic Software (BSW) team. In this role, you will contribute to the configuration, integration, validation, and release of AUTOSAR Basic Software components for next-generation Automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs). You will own the software development lifecycle for assigned components, translating customer and system requirements into robust AUTOSAR BSW configurations and software solutions.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER – Embedded AUTOSAR BSW

- Analyze customer, system, hardware, and software requirements for automotive embedded applications. - Derive, specify, and maintain AUTOSAR BSW configuration requirements based on customer and platform requirements. - Configure, integrate, debug, validate, and release AUTOSAR Basic Software components according to project and platform architecture guidelines. - Configure and troubleshoot communication stacks, including CAN, CAN FD, LIN, J1939 and Ethernet - Configure and integrate AUTOSAR services such as Diagnostic Services, Memory Services, ECU State Management (EcuM), BSW Mode Management (BswM), Communication Management, and Crypto Services. - Derive and maintain software requirements for Complex Device Drivers (CDD), define their architecture and design, and support implementation, integration, and validation activities. - Ensure software configurations and implementations comply with applicable Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) requirements. - Define and execute software integration, verification, debugging, and troubleshooting activities on target platforms. - Produce and maintain software development artifacts and technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle. - Collaborate with System, Application Software, Hardware, Integration, and Validation teams to ensure end-to-end product quality. - Contribute to continuous improvement, technical innovation, and software development best practices.

- Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. - Good knowledge of C programming for embedded systems. - Familiarity with MISRA-C guidelines and embedded software best practices. - Good understanding of automotive communication protocols, including CAN, CAN FD, LIN, J1939 and Ethernet - Knowledge of automotive diagnostic protocols, including UDS. - Strong knowledge of Classic AUTOSAR architecture, with particular focus on the Basic Software (BSW) layer. - Experience in AUTOSAR BSW configuration, integration, and validation activities preferably with ETAS ISOLAR-A and ISOLAR-B. - Experience with Diagnostic Stack configuration and integration (DCM, DEM, FiM). - Experience with Communication Stack configuration and integration (COM, PduR, CanIf, CanTp). - Experience with Memory Stack configuration and integration (NvM, Fee, Ea, MemIf). - Experience with Crypto Stack integration and automotive cybersecurity solutions. - Experience defining software requirements, architecture, and integration activities for Complex Device Drivers (CDD). - Understanding of embedded software development principles and software development lifecycles. - Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS). - Familiarity with debugging and tracing tools such as Lauterbach TRACE32. - Experience with Vector CANoe for ECU network development, simulation, and testing. - Experience with Vector CANdela for diagnostic specification management. - Knowledge of automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) concepts and their application to embedded software development. - Familiarity with ASPICE-compliant automotive software development processes. - Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. - Experience with scripting languages such as Python for development and automation activities. - Experience with automotive microcontroller platforms, preferably Infineon AURIX™ TC3xx. - Experience working in Agile development teams. - Good verbal and written communication skills in English. - Fluency in Italian
