Descrizione:
Location: Ecosmic Office in Turin, 3 days of remote work allowed per week.
Type: Full-time
Salary range: €500/Month
Starting Date: September 2026
Who We Are
Ecosmic is on a mission to reduce threat exposure into space by building software for Space Situational Awareness.
We are a high-tech, data-driven space startup, bringing together an international team of engineers and computer scientists. We move fast, think deeply, and care about building things that matter.
We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineering Intern with a background in Space Engineering, or a closely related space-focused discipline to join our team, working across space technology, business development, and international collaboration.
What You’ll Do
This role is intended for candidates who want to apply their engineering expertise beyond purely technical environments, combining technical analysis, product understanding, customer engagement, and strategic communication. The position has a strong technical focus and offers direct exposure to how advanced space technologies are transformed into operational and commercial solutions.
You will work directly under the supervision of the CEO and produce material for commercial companies, institutional stakeholders, and international organizations, such as ESA and NATO.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical analyses and simulations related to space domain awareness, orbital operations, and space environment monitoring
- Use and test our proprietary products and platforms to understand operational capabilities and customer use cases
- Support the preparation of technical demonstrations, customer presentations, and investor-facing materials
- Translate complex engineering concepts into clear and compelling communication tailored to customers, partners, and institutional stakeholders
- Contribute to proposal writing and bid preparation for commercial and institutional opportunities
- Assist in defining project approaches by understanding how technical requirements, timelines, budgets, expertise, and team structures come together to deliver new capabilities
- Support business development activities with technical insight during meetings and strategic discussions
- Help identify the most effective ways to communicate product value and mission impact to different audiences
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Space Engineering, or a closely related space-focused discipline
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, spacecraft operations, or space systems engineering
- Ability to perform technical simulations and analytical tasks independently
- Interest in proposal development, project management, and the lifecycle of space projects
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in the commercial and strategic dimensions of the space sector
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
What We Offer
- Flexibility and trust: we measure people’s performance based on the objectives they achieve, rather than the hours they spend sitting at their desks
- Remote work and flexible hours: enjoy the possibility to work remotely up to 3 days per week, with a flexible starting time
- An incredible opportunity for growth: collaborate closely with passionate space engineers who will support your learning, challenge you, and help you develop valuable skills while contributing to meaningful projects as a full member of the team
- A young and international environment: join a dynamic and diverse team driven by innovation and collaboration
- A strong work-life balance culture: while we are ambitious and motivated to achieve great results together, we always prioritise our people’s health and well-being
- A monthly allowance of €500
