Job Opportunity – Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)
On-site (Italy) | Oil & Gas Project | Possible business trips
For one of our key international clients operating in the
Oil & Gas EPC sector , we are currently looking for an experienced:
Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer
This is a high-visibility role within a major project in Italy, requiring on-site presence and occasional travel depending on project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering and technical oversight of subsea umbilicals and fiber optic cable systems
Definition of technical requirements and specifications
Interface with EPC contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
Support during engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning phases
Technical review of documentation, drawings and vendor deliverables
Ensure compliance with project standards and industry regulations
Requirements:
Solid experience in
Oil & Gas / Offshore / Subsea projects
Strong knowledge of umbilicals, subsea systems or fiber optic cable engineering
Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering
Experience working in EPC or large-scale international projects
Ability to work on-site in Italy with possible short-term transfers
Strong communication skills in English (Italian is a plus)
