WEDOO is a digital communication and production agency, with offices in Turin and Birmingham (USA), specialized in web marketing, advertising, video, and 3D production.

We are looking for an experienced

Unreal Technical Artist

to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-end real-time experiences for global automotive brands.

The ideal candidate combines strong artistic sensibility with deep technical expertise in Unreal Engine, helping bridge the gap between creative vision and real-time production requirements. This role involves close collaboration with Creative Directors, CGI Artists, Developers, and international teams to deliver visually outstanding, scalable, and performant automotive experiences.

Responsibilities Create, optimize, and maintain high-quality real-time automotive scenes in Unreal Engine. Develop and refine lighting, materials, shaders, and rendering workflows to achieve photorealistic results. Ensure visual quality while meeting performance and technical requirements across different platforms. Support the integration and optimization of complex vehicle assets and large product configurations. Troubleshoot technical issues related to rendering, materials, lighting, performance, and asset pipelines. Collaborate with creative, production, and development teams to define and improve workflows. Research and implement new Unreal Engine features, tools, and best practices. Contribute to the development of scalable pipelines and standards for automotive visualization projects.

Requirements Strong professional experience with Unreal Engine in a production environment. Advanced knowledge of: Lighting and rendering workflows Materials and shader creation Lumen, Nanite, Virtual Shadow Maps, Post-Processing Performance profiling and optimization Solid understanding of PBR workflows and photorealistic rendering techniques. Experience working with high-quality automotive assets. Ability to balance artistic quality with technical constraints. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams. Fluent English communication skills. Portfolio demonstrating Unreal Engine projects with a strong focus on visual quality and technical execution.

Nice to Have Experience with configurators, interactive experiences, or real-time visualization platforms. Knowledge of Blueprint scripting. Experience with Python-based pipeline tools. Familiarity with Pixel Streaming workflows. Experience with: Adobe Photoshop Substance Painter / Substance 3D Designer HDR Light Studio Autodesk Maya Blender Understanding of version control systems (Git, Perforce).

Operational details: Full-time position. Employment contract or freelance collaboration available. Annual gross compensation (RAL) between €35,000 and €45,000, based on experience and skills. Working hours: Italian time zone (CET). Possibility of hybrid or remote work. Collaboration with an international team, innovative projects, and a dynamic environment.
