Amazon is looking for a talented Vendor Manager (VM) responsible for managing vendor relationships and setting the strategic direction for the business on the Worldwide Grocery Category team. The ideal candidate possesses experience in buying, marketing, and/or finance; with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and understanding of Excel will be essential to your success. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic negotiations with vendors and represent Amazon when meeting with vendor partners and their leadership.
  • Develop long‑term strategies and significantly influence cross‑category plans, delivering on Amazon's goals and objectives while obsessing over customers.
  • Work cross‑functionally both within Amazon and with assigned vendors.
  • Implement scalable, simple, and automated solutions to address customer pain points and drive results.
  • Create opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand building.
  • Audit metrics regularly, determine and prioritize business opportunities, identify risks and make recommendations to deliver results.
  • Identify industry trends and develop innovative marketing and merchandising initiatives to support growth.

About the Team

The Worldwide Grocery Category Management team is responsible for selection decisions and vendor relationships for grocery category across all Amazon banners. Our team focuses on creating exceptional shopping experiences that transform how customers discover and purchase perishable goods from Amazon. We are passionate about building compelling assortments, optimizing the customer journey, and developing strategic partnerships with vendors to drive category growth. We work in a collaborative environment where innovative thinking and strategic execution are highly valued. Our team strives to deliver exceptional value to customers while driving business results through data‑driven decision making.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in online retail.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or HTML.

  • USA, TX, Austin – USD 53,700.00 - 94,000.00 annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington – USD 53,700.00 - 94,000.00 annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle – USD 80,200.00 - 94,000.00 annually
