AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
The position’s responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations, day‑to‑day capacity management, and working closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate project execution under Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
Managing work and priorities via ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
Collaborating with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
Troubleshooting networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and cords.
Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
Participating in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
Travel within and outside the regional work area is required; a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are necessary.
All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Work 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support.
Operate in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
1+ year of computer networking experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Data center experience; industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
Relocation and compensation: The starting pay for this position is $27.00 – $48.00 per hour in Sparks, NV, USA. Final starting pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and location.
