Overview

You’ll join a diverse team to provide testing, validation, and oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure during retro commissioning. Your responsibilities include coordinating vendor activities, ensuring compliance, reporting progress, and leading multiple projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead testing and validation oversight of existing data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Review design documents and equipment submittals.
  • Lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and other functional, pre‑functional, and integrated systems tests.
  • Manage third‑party commissioning vendors and coordinate site activities.
  • Audit vendor activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare regular commissioning progress reports and metrics.
  • Provide multi‑discipline input into scheduling, test script development, design, and planning.
  • Escalate project risks and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
  • Share lessons learned to drive program improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities (e.g., data centers, power generation, oil and gas).
  • 4+ years of commissioning experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Experience with building codes and regional regulations.
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
  • Expertise in reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.

Compensation & Benefits

USA, OH, COLUMBUS — Salary range: $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually. The compensation package includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units, health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
