Work Based Learning Program Logistics Specialist

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting every data center and all critical equipment to ensure customers have continual access to the technology they rely on. We tackle complex supply‑chain challenges with a diverse team that includes software, hardware, and network engineers; supply‑chain specialists; security experts; and operations managers.
Key Job Responsibilities
Vendor and team communication, including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross‑functional teams.
Ensure all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
Travel with a personal vehicle within the regional work area.
Successfully complete the 12‑month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.
A Day in the Life
The Logistics Specialist reviews inventory and inbound shipments at a data center, maintains proper stock levels to support build and repair activities, and collaborates with the Logistics Manager to optimize part flow. The role involves tracking inventory location, movement, age, and returns; working closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately; and coordinating with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and handle RMAs. Strong communication with vendors to resolve issues and ensure understanding of business requirements is essential. Candidates will work in a warehouse or data‑center environment, often requiring the operation of powered equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers, and must be willing to work shift, weekend, and holiday schedules.
Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma.
18 years of age or older.
Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.

The starting pay for this position is $21.00–$37.00 USD per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
