Deal equipment has been used in the construction of over 5.9 million sqm of decks all over the world with Deal’s parent company executing directly roughly 2.5 million sqm of these. Deal provides services that range from conceptual and detailed design of pre-fabrication and erection systems, to the design and supply of specialised equipment such as launching trusses, straddle carriers, gantry cranes, casting machines as well as other custom lifting, moving and casting devices.

About the Role
To provide technical guidance for the installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of specialized machinery and equipment used in civil construction projects, ensuring reliable equipment performance and effective customer support throughout the equipment lifecycle. The role acts as a technical link between the Engineering home office, customers, project teams, and site personnel, supporting the successful deployment and operation of equipment at construction sites and contributing to the continuous improvement of products and field service activities.
Responsibilities
Equipment Installation and Commissioning
Contribute to the installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of machinery and specialized equipment at customer and project sites.
Perform functional checks and verify the correct operation of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and control systems.
Assist with equipment start-up and ensure that machinery is properly configured and ready for operation.
Support the integration and testing of equipment control and monitoring systems.
Identify and resolve technical issues arising during installation and commissioning.
After‑Sales Technical Support
Provide technical assistance to customers and site teams during equipment operation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.
Provide remote and on‑site technical support to minimize equipment downtime.
Analyse equipment failures and identify the root causes of technical problems.
Recommend and implement corrective actions and repairs.
Support warranty‑related technical investigations and interventions.
Site Operations Support
Provide hands‑on technical support during the operation of Company equipment on civil construction and infrastructure projects.
Assist site personnel in the safe and correct use of machinery and equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential technical problems before they lead to failures or downtime.
Support equipment maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
Assist in the management of spare parts and technical materials required for field interventions.
Work closely with project and site teams to ensure equipment availability and operational continuity.
Customer Training
Support the training of customers and operators on the correct use, operation, and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Prepare and deliver practical demonstrations and technical instructions.
Ensure that operators understand equipment operating procedures and relevant safety requirements.
Technical Documentation and Reporting
Prepare commissioning reports, service reports, intervention reports, and technical documentation.
Record technical issues, equipment failures, corrective actions, and maintenance activities.
Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Development teams regarding recurring technical issues and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and field interventions.
Contribute to the identification of recurring technical issues and propose improvements to equipment design, reliability, and maintainability.
Provide practical feedback from construction sites to Engineering, Production, and After Sales teams.
Support the development and improvement of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
Contribute to lessons‑learned activities following commissioning and field operations.
Health, Safety and Compliance
Perform all activities in compliance with Company HSE policies, customer requirements, and applicable site safety regulations.
Ensure that equipment is operated, tested, and maintained in accordance with relevant technical and safety requirements.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, or operational risks.
Qualifications
At least 8-10 years of work experience
Technical high school diploma or engineering degree (core knowledge: Mechatronics)
Technical expertise in machinery and equipment, preferably used in civil construction
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good English knowledge
Knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance
Position report to the head of engineering. Activities are mainly performed at our offices in Cargnacco (Udine), with regular site missions at world wide level.
Pay range and compensation package
Annual base salary from 45,000€ to 55,000€ based on experience and qualifications. Plus assignment allowances when on mission.
