Job Opportunity – Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer (Mid‑Senior Level)
For one of our key international clients operating in the Oil & Gas EPC sector, we are currently looking for an experienced: Umbilical & Fiber Optic Cable Engineer.
This is a high-visibility role within a major project in Italy, requiring on‑site presence and occasional travel depending on project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering and technical oversight of subsea umbilicals and fiber optic cable systems
- Definition of technical requirements and specifications
- Interface with EPC contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Support during engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning phases
- Technical review of documentation, drawings and vendor deliverables
- Ensure compliance with project standards and industry regulations
Requirements
- Solid experience in Oil & Gas / Offshore / Subsea projects
- Strong knowledge of umbilicals, subsea systems or fiber optic cable engineering
- Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering
- Experience working in EPC or large‑scale international projects
- Ability to work on‑site in Italy with possible short‑term transfers
- Strong communication skills in English (Italian is a plus)
