The role
You will support the Quality Manager in coordinating, managing, and continuously improving all quality control and quality assurance activities at the Vergiate production site. The role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations, while fostering a culture of quality across manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Monitor business processes to ensure compliance with procedures and quality protocols
Collaborate in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and data sheets
Analyze customer quality data and satisfaction indicators
Evaluate and qualify external suppliers against quality requirements
Support reporting on Quality Management System performance and KPIs
Deliver quality‑related training to site personnel
Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities
Comply with HSE regulations, environmental requirements, and energy policies
Ensure correct waste segregation and disposal
Report hazardous situations, near misses, and audit‑related HSE non‑conformities
Provide the HSE office with safety data sheets and updates for chemicals used
Qualifications
Education
Degree in food science and technology.
Professional Skills
Knowledge of food technology, in particular BRC, IFS or similar quality standards.
Knowledge of current food industry legislation.
Ability to use the main analysis tools in the food analysis laboratory.
Knowledge of production processes in an industrial context.
Knowledge of the main HSE rules.
Experience
2+ years of experience in the role within food manufacturing sector.
Language Skills
Proficient English & Italian is mandatory.

MS Office
