Portfolio Advisor (Milan) - Varese, Lombardia, Italy

In this role you will be the go-to investment content advocate for Financial Intermediary clients in Italy, translating Wellington’s expertise into clear, client-ready messaging. You will serve as a funds expert across equities, fixed income and multi-asset strategies, and articulate macro and thematic viewpoints to distributors. You will collaborate with global teams to support asset-raising and client retention in the Italian retail market. You will lead product roadshows and client trainings, helping distributors navigate Wellington’s investment offerings. This is a chance to shape client engagement and drive tangible flows in a globally connected firm. Hybrid work: 4 days in office, 1 day remote Global exposure Diversity and equal opportunity Collaborative culture Opportunity to influence product messaging Present on a broad array of investment topics (Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset) and macro/thematic themes Drive flows by representing investment strategies to Financial Advisors and Private Bankers Collaborate with Italian distributors to message and position Wellington strategies Coordinate with Portfolio Management and Product Management teams across regions for alignment Lead product roadshows, client conferences, and internal training; be the primary contact for follow-ups 10+ years of relevant experience in Portfolio Advisor/Product Specialist/Retail Sales or Private Bank/Distributor environments Experience with Financial Intermediary clients and knowledge of local distributors preferred Experience representing multi-asset strategies; European language skills (Italian and English) required Strong interpersonal/communication skills and ability to build trust with distributors and clients Excellent presentation skills and gravitas; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Willingness to travel; team-oriented with collaborative mindset Team orientation Ability to work under pressure Capital markets knowledge Investment philosophy and process understanding
