Field Service Supervisor

Job Summary

GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Field Service Supervisor to join our Field Service team based in Noventa di Piave, Venice, Italy.

About the Role

The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all resources and logistics required to deliver service and maintenance activities at customer sites. This includes maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of installed and existing equipment and covers preventive and corrective maintenance services, coordination of field service engineering activities and maintenance support operations. The position is accountable for the quality of its own work and operates under defined procedures and structured operational guidelines within a clear framework.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing and validation of equipment, facilities, or plants in line with technical specifications and operational requirements, including performance testing and services.
• Develop conceptual knowledge of the technical discipline while supporting specialized field activities.
• Apply business and technical understanding gained through education and/or experience, contributing effectively to team objectives.
• Resolve issues using established procedures and elevate when situations fall outside defined parameters.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to solve technical and operational challenges.
• Act as a customer interface where required, building strong relationships and ensuring clear technical communication between the customer and GE.

Requirements

• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical background.
• Initial field experience in the industrial sector, preferably in maintenance of electrical products or industrial equipment.
• Extensive on‑site experience in industrial maintenance and field service operations, including hands‑on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repair in industrial environments.
• Fluent Italian and intermediate English.
• Valid driving license and availability to work occasionally during weekends and public holidays, depending on business needs.
• Nice to have: Knowledge or hands‑on experience with HV (High Voltage) switchgear systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and operational standards applicable to the Italian market.
• Understanding of site rules and safety procedures for working in industrial environments, with confidence in on‑site execution.

Location and Travel

This is a permanent position based in Noventa di Piave, Italy. The role is primarily field‑based, with approximately 15% of work carried out locally and the remainder involving travel to other locations depending on business needs.
