Role Summary – Head of Ticket Sales & Operations
As part of the new stadium project, the Head of Ticket Sales & Operations will lead Venezia FC’s premium and ticketing sales strategy, manage a high‑performing sales team, and drive commercial growth during an exciting period of transformation. The position is pivotal in generating revenue and elevating the brand across season tickets, group sales, premium hospitality, and special events.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire the sales team, fostering a results‑driven culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Drive premium and ticketing revenue by developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize revenue across premium hospitality, seasonal memberships, and match‑by‑match ticketing.
Collaborate with stakeholders to execute the go‑to‑market strategy for the new stadium, shaping product mix, pricing, and sales phasing.
Own premium and ticketing business plans, set ambitious revenue targets, define sales objectives, and monitor performance against key commercial metrics.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of corporate clients and high‑value supporters through proactive prospecting, networking, and strategic partnerships.
Utilize CRM systems and market intelligence to track performance, forecast revenue, and inform strategic decision‑making.
Partner closely with marketing, partnerships, and finance to align campaigns, optimize lead generation, and deliver integrated commercial outcomes.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior leadership.
Provide strategic oversight of ticketing operations and technology to ensure efficient inventory management and a seamless customer journey.
Stay informed of global trends in sports and entertainment to continuously innovate and position Venezia FC as a leader in premium fan experiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field.
7–10 years of senior sales leadership experience, preferably in professional sports.
Proven experience managing a team and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Vivaticket, SeatGeek, Ticketmaster) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft CRM).
Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are an advantage.
Skills & Abilities
Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the football season.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite.
Strong analytical skills and a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead diverse teams with empathy and accountability.
Working Conditions
Local travel to in‑market events is required.
The incumbent primarily works in an office environment but is expected to attend all events.
Position and Benefits Details
Anticipated Salary: €100,000 – €115,000 + Bonus.
