Product Safety and Compliance Engineer

Overview In this role, you ensure safety, technical, production, legal, and environmental aspects are met during new product development. You own design review and qualification principles within the Concept to Product process, driving robust documentation and 100% conformance to specs. You collaborate with the management team to uplift product quality and regulatory compliance across multiple departments. This position offers hybrid work in Padova, with a focus on shaping safe, compliant, and high-quality products that align with divisional and company goals.

Responsabilità

Review and evaluate design submissions for accuracy, quality and adherence to company standards Ensure designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements and contribute to Product Compliance & Legislation Perform safety reviews and guide project quality and completeness Lead design review meetings with local design team Maintain CE declarations and related documentation Create reports on project quality and completeness Support engineering to improve project/product quality in company meetings Safeguard local quality processes (PLM, release, root cause analysis, reporting, competence management) Ensure alignment of local processes with divisional standards Maintain objectivity to protect quality over speed to market

Requisiti fondamentali

Proven experience in project management (min 5 years) Proven experience in engineering (min 5 years) University Degree - Mechanical engineering or similar Italian and English fluency Design with CAD 2D and 3D Knowledge of Compliance & Legislation requirements Knowledge about diesel engine, electric motors, sensor and machine controls is a plus Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP Positive and proactive approach, empathy and resilience Structured approach to lead activities with precision and punctuality Problem solving and team working attitude Ability to maintain respectful relations with colleagues to foster a safe environment Active information sharing across department and functions Positive and proactive approach Empathy and resilience Structured and precise leadership CAD 2D/3D design Regulatory compliance and legislation DFMEA knowledge
