Director of Finance – Luxury Hospitality Asset | Venice, Italy
(Fluent Italian and English speaking is essential)
We are conducting an exclusive and confidential search for an experienced Director of Finance to join one of Italy’s most prestigious luxury hospitality assets, located in the iconic city of Venice.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a landmark property combining heritage, international visibility, and strong investment backing, playing a key role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
As Director of Finance, you will lead the full financial function of the asset, overseeing financial planning, reporting, compliance, and performance analysis.
Act as a key advisor to the General Manager on financial performance and business decisions
Identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Develop long-term financial models to support strategic planning
Monitor performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions
Financial Operations & Control
Oversee all financial operations including accounting, reporting, and controls
Maintain strong internal controls and financial discipline
Act as the key liaison with corporate finance teams
Compliance, Audit & Governance
Ensure compliance with Italian accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
Coordinate internal and external audit processes
Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity
This role requires a commercially minded finance leader with strong hospitality experience and the ability to operate in a high-profile environment.
Significant experience in senior finance roles within luxury hospitality
Proven experience managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Fluent Italian and English required
Exposure to an internationally recognised luxury environment
