Job Opportunity: Language Instructor (Italian & English as Second Language) We are looking for individuals who want to join our team in Vicenza, Italy. Location: Vicenza, Italy | Start Date: Immediate | Schedule: Part-time Make a Difference Behind the Mission Empower military community members to connect with their host nation and each other through language instruction. As a dual‑language instructor, you'll teach Italian to service members and families seeking to integrate into local culture, while also providing English as a Second Language instruction to support non‑native speakers. This unique position allows you to make a lasting impact on students' ability to communicate, build relationships, and thrive during their time in Italy. What You'll Do

Conduct Italian language instruction for Beginner (8 sessions/year) and Intermediate (4 sessions/year) levels Provide English as a Second Language instruction for Basic and Intermediate levels Develop and maintain comprehensive course syllabi, lesson plans, and post‑course assessments Lead classroom instruction twice weekly in 2‑hour sessions over 8‑week cycles Organize and conduct cultural immersion field trips (2 per session) to reinforce language learning Create and administer end‑of‑course tests requiring 70% minimum passing score Maintain class attendance records using DA Form 5900 and submit weekly Prepare monthly status reports on program activities and student outcomes Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and proficiency levels Coordinate field trip logistics including safety planning and transportation arrangements Manage classes ranging from 6 to 20 students with varying backgrounds

What You Bring

Associate's degree or higher in Education, Teaching, or Foreign Languages from an accredited institution Minimum 2 years of full‑time experience teaching Italian and/or English to adults in formal and informal settings Fluent (Level 4) proficiency in both Italian and English—reading, writing, and speaking Strong curriculum development skills and knowledge of language pedagogy Experience with assessment and evaluation methods for language proficiency Excellent classroom management and student engagement abilities Cultural competency and ability to teach cross‑cultural communication concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Office for lesson planning and reporting Creative approach to incorporating experiential learning and field trips Must be able to pass required background checks (U.S. citizen or Host Nation) Flexibility to accommodate field trip scheduling and occasional rescheduling needs
