Our Agriculture, Forestry, and Ecosystem Services (IAFES) Division is seeking a new Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will interact with various administrative offices, staff, and external partners, and bring strong administrative experience along with the ability to prioritise tasks and resolve problems effectively.
From ensuring the efficient management of financial resources to overseeing daily office operations and providing strategic support for division initiatives, this role will be crucial to our collective success.
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual who can support the Division Manager in the daily management of research projects, personnel, and equipment.

Role
The Administrative Assistant reports to the Division Manager and is responsible for supporting daily administrative management, as well as travel, equipment and office operations, and contributing to the organisation of events.
Responsibilities
- Providing secretarial support and managing daily administrative tasks;
- Supporting financial and procurement procedures;
- Managing equipment and inventories;
- Supporting personnel and staff administration;
- Coordinating travel management and arrangements;
- Assisting staff with immigration procedures;
- Supporting internal and external communications
Requirements
- Degree in administration, management or equivalent field
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with online collaboration tools
- Basic knowledge of budgeting, invoicing and procurement procedures
- Organisational and communication skills
Duration, Compensation & Benefits
- This opportunity will be advertised both internally and externally
- The position will be based at the CMCC office in Viterbo
- The initial appointment will be for a period of 6 months, starting in July 2026, with a gross annual salary in the range of EUR 22,000–24,000, renewable subject to performance and funding availability
- A welfare package is provided for contracts of at least 12 months
- Flexible working hours are available in accordance with internal policies
