This role defines and drives the global marketing vision, shaping how Salewa connects performance, innovation and mountain culture across all consumer touchpoints. Working across brand, product, commercial and community, the Sr Marketing Manager combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution across global campaigns, storytelling, digital ecosystems and athlete marketing, bridging Salewa’s mountaineering heritage with its future ambition as the most relevant modern mountain sports brand in the world.Tasks and responsibilities Global Strategy & PositioningSupport the development and the execution of Salewa’s global brand strategy, positioning and long-term marketing vision, ensuring a clear and differentiated point of view across mountain sports categoriesTranslate the brand strategy into global marketing roadmaps and scalable frameworks, ensuring consistent execution across regions and channelsIntegrated Global CampaignLead the development and execution of integrated 360° global campaigns across brand, product, retail, e-commerce, social media, PR, sports marketing, events and partnershipsBuild best-in-class go-to-market frameworks for seasonal launches across footwear, apparel and equipment, ensuring strong alignment between global direction and regional executionProduct Storytelling & Commercial GTMPartner closely with Product and Commercial teams to transform innovation pipelines into compelling, consumer-centric storytelling that drives demand and conversionDevelop impactful product storytelling systems around technologies, sustainability innovations and athlete-led proof points, supporting both sell-in and sell-through across wholesale and DTC channelsSports, Athlete & Mountain Community MarketingOversee athlete, creator and community marketing strategies, strengthening Salewa’s credibility and authority within mountaineering, climbing, speed hiking and mountain sports communitiesLead global content and digital ecosystem development across social, editorial, CRM and e-commerce platforms, ensuring consistent, premium and always-on brand storytellingDrive audience growth, engagement and conversion through digital-first strategies, while continuously improving marketing ROI in collaboration with Performance and E-commerce teamsDefine and monitor key marketing KPIs across awareness, engagement, consideration, conversion and retentionTeam Leadership & Organizational ImpactBuild, lead and inspire a high-performing global marketing organization, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and passion for mountain sportsAct as senior leadership partner across Brand, Product, Sales and DTC, contributing to overall business strategy and growthProfile5–10+ years of experience in senior marketing or brand leadership roles, ideally within sporting goods, outdoor, premium lifestyle or culture-driven brandsProven track record in leading global integrated marketing campaigns across multiple regions and channelsExcellent brand-building, storytelling and communication skillsStrong commercial skillset with experience in managing KPIs and driving business impactDeep understanding of consumer culture, communities, creators and athlete ecosystemsStrong understanding of both wholesale and direct-to-consumer ecosystemsExperience in managing cross-functional teams and external agenciesFluent in English; Italian and/or German is a plusPassion for mountains and mountain sportsIf you are interested to work in a challenging, international and dynamic environment then apply now!
