Role Overview

Equipment Buyer Tecnico Head of Infrastructures & Technical Procurement for Autogrill, responsible for the purchase of technical equipment for food service (e.g., ovens, refrigeration units, coffee machines) in compliance with company procedures and systems. The position is based at the Rozzano headquarters and covers procurement for the Autonomous concept across core channels (motorways, airports, malls, cities) in Italy, while also supporting maintenance purchase requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing suppliers based on technical quality, cost, reliability, financial solidity, using platforms such as Cerved.
  • Negotiate purchase contracts to secure the best commercial terms, ensuring adherence to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), quality, and delivery times.
  • Draft and finalize framework agreements in line with legal office standards.
  • Resolve procurement and delivery issues that may arise.
  • Select and evaluate new equipment by collaborating with Research & Development to understand requirements, functionality, and maintenance at points of sale, and assess alternatives.
  • Assess equipment performance in the field, including on‑site visits, in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on supplier statistics, update data, and evaluate performance.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or technical disciplines.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an Equipment Buyer, preferably from GDO or Food Service.
  • Strong interpersonal and commercial skills with a passion for technologies applied to food.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred knowledge of SAP MM for supplier management and order issuance.

Compensation

Base salary: €45,000, commensurate with demonstrated technical competencies. Annual bonus: not specified.
