Overview In this global quality leadership role, you will drive ABB Traction’s quality strategy and governance to enable safe, reliable propulsion solutions. You will lead a cross-regional quality organization, shaping a robust, data-driven quality loop from development to customer feedback. You’ll partner with Engineering, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to prevent recurrence of issues and ensure continuous improvement. This is an impact-driven position that aligns with ABB’s mission to build cleaner, smarter mobility. You will influence quality culture across a global matrix and contribute to sustainable transportation. Benefits Define and deploy the global quality strategy aligned with business priorities and QMS requirements Lead the global Quality organization and foster a consistent quality culture across regions Establish a robust closed loop quality cycle from development to customer feedback Drive global supplier quality, production quality assurance, testing, and outgoing inspection standards Lead data-driven quality governance: analytics, risk identification, non-conformance management, and prevention initiatives Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, R&D, Operations, SCM, and Customer teams for issue resolution and recurrence prevention Implement and oversee global quality processes, audits, governance models, and continuous improvement frameworks Ensure strong quality involvement in product and process development including APQP/PPAP (where applicable) and early risk detection Responsibilities 10+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering, or Operations in complex industrial or engineered-to-order environments Proven track record of quality improvement, problem solving leadership, and data-driven decision making Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) or equivalent technical background Strong expertise in quality systems, QMS governance, RCA, and methodologies such as 8 D, Lean; experience in automotive, rail, or heavy equipment environments; knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA is a strong plus Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders in a global matrix organization Familiarity with industry standards such as IRIS, EN/IEC standards, and regulatory requirements related to traction/railway is an advantage Excellent communication skills, fluent English, and availability to travel up to 30% #J-18808-Ljbffr
