Buyer – Internship
The candidate will support the procurement of materials required for company operations, ensuring business continuity, compliance with delivery timelines, required quality standards, and cost optimization. The role contributes to supplier relationship management and the monitoring of purchasing performance in line with company strategies.
Responsibilities and Activities
Manage the purchasing process for direct and/or indirect materials according to company needs
Issue, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders
Ensure compliance with delivery timelines agreed with suppliers
Analyze purchase requests, production requirements, and stock levels
Support supplier scouting and qualification activities
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms in line with company guidelines
Monitor KPIs related to supplier punctuality, costs, quality, and service
Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, and Quality departments in managing supplier issues and non-conformities
Support cost-saving and optimization initiatives
Manage supplier master data and related documentation within the company ERP system
Verify order confirmations, progress updates, and supply status
Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and supply chain sustainability requirements
Requirements
Technical Skills
Knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes
Knowledge of commercial negotiation techniques
Ability to read bills of materials and technical documentation
Knowledge of key procurement and supply chain KPIs
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of order management and supply planning
Good command of the English language
Basic knowledge of commercial contracts and Incoterms is considered a plus
